We are currently recruiting for a Director for the Section of Home, Ambulatory and Chronic Care Practitioner at ASHP. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, dedicated to teamwork, who wants to advance home, ambulatory, and chronic care pharmacy practice on a national scale. This position provides a unique opportunity to utilize clinical, teaching, and leadership skills in work with peers across the country.
The Director serves as a resource to ASHP members, staff, and key outside groups on issues related to pharmacy practice in home, ambulatory, and chronic care environments. Duties include monitoring and interpreting trends in ambulatory care reimbursement, regulatory changes and continuity of care. In addition, responsibility includes facilitating and overseeing educational offerings, coordinating the activities and programs of the Section, and supporting the Section's Executive Committee. Travel to ASHP meetings and other meetings will be required.
Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills. A degree in pharmacy is required and an advanced degree and completion of an ASHP-accredited residency is desired.
